The American Civil Liberties Union of West Virginia (ACLU-WV) is a non-partisan, non-profit membership organization. Since 1920, the national American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) organization has worked to realize the guarantees of the U. S. Constitution and expand its reach to all people. As an advocate for individual rights, the ACLU works in courts, legislatures, and at the local level to defend the freedoms granted by the system of laws in the United States. From its formation to uphold the liberties of West Virginia coal miners to protecting First Amendment rights, personal privacy, due process, and freedom from discrimination in our state today, ACLU-WV has fought for citizens of the Mountain State for over 100 years.
The attorneys at DiPiero Simmons McGinley & Bastress, PLLC are honored to take part in local events benefitting the members of our neighborhoods, city, and state. We continually seek opportunities to give back to the individuals, families, and organizations that make Charleston and the surrounding areas a better and safer place to live.
