The article, titled “Marshall vs. Notre Dame,” begins with the line: “Tim DiPiero will utilize whatever transportation is necessary to get to South Bend, Indiana, on Sept. 10.” This upcoming date in fall 2022 marks the first meeting of the football teams of Marshall University and the University of Notre Dame.
Tim DiPiero is the ideal candidate to represent the importance of this monumental match. As a Huntington native (the home of Marshall University) and a graduate of Notre Dame, Tim is also a lifelong sportsman and coach. As an attorney, he represented professional athletes in his role as certified contract adviser for the National Football Players Association for several years.
Having a passion for the game and strong ties to both Marshall and Notre Dame, Tim was a natural choice to highlight the unlikely rivalry of the legendary teams memorialized respectively in the classic sports films We Are Marshall and Rudy.
